Extraordinary Session In The City Council of Batumi

Extraordinary session was held in Batumi City Council. The City Council’s acting Chairman Lasha Sirabidze presented to colleagues the session’s agenda.
The members of The City Council discussed on the draft resolution, according to which there will be changes in the 2016 budget of Batumi, and it will increase on 2 250 000  GEL.
The City Hall’s Financial-Economic Service Deputy Chief Archil Vanadze said that for current stage the urgent task that face the self-government is the implementation of works for the rehabilitation of dwelling houses, buildings, surrounding areas and infrastructure being damaged as a result of disaster. 
According Archil Vanadze change will touch the road infrastructure rehabilitation and capital construction, drainage system rehabilitation and maintenance, subprograms of N(N)LE  Batumi Corps. The draft resolution of The City Council on the changes in the budget presented at the session supported a majority of members of The City Council.
The City Council members also supported the draft resolution of Batumi Municipality City Council “on the giving consent to Batumi Municipality Mayor about the amendments in the state-owned non-agricultural land purchase agreement №13 signed on 02 June 2006 between the Government of Batumi and Zaza Beridze”
The aim of the project is the completion of many-storeyed, multi-functioning objects on the 445, 00 square meters non-agricultural land parcel sold by competition, which is located at the corner of Gorgasali and Javakhishvili streets in Batumi. 
According to the decision made at the session, the changes were made in self-governing – Batumi City Council’s resolution №50 of the 14th September 2012 “on the developing regulations and usage of urban areas of the self-governing city of Batumi’s territory”.
The main goal of adoption of the resolution is to enable the city’s multiple dwelling to be developed, floors of which are one, two or three floors. Main promoting basis in the development will be land development intensity coefficient (K2) grow, which will enable the above categories of buildings to set the land borders.
The City council session attended The City Hall Mayor Giorgi Ermakov, Vice-Mayor Bagrat Manvelidze, The City Hall’s Services, representatives of media and NGO sector.
