25th anniversary of the adoption of the Act of Independence was celebrated with festive around the whole Georgia.
Ceremonies in Batumi were started from 11 o’clock with the procession of the festival’s participants. Members of Batumi City Council with the representatives of the Government of Ajara, Supreme Council and Batumi City Hall honored soldiers who were killed in the struggle for the Independence of Georgia in The Heroes Square. 
State anthem of Georgia was performed by orchestra. Military techniques was exhibited nearby the territory of the Alphabet Tower, during the day was performed ceremony of giving military oath.  The celebration of Independence Day in Batumi was finished with festival gala concert.
