The stated meeting of Batumi City Council

Today, on September 29, the stated meeting of Batumi City Council was held. Deputies discussed the daily agenda consisting of 13 issues.
A personal statement about early termination of the city council member- Gela Gvarishvili’s authority has been taken into account by the City Council. The new candidate from “Patriotic Alliance” will be named in about two weeks.
Majority of the projects submitted to the City Council meeting was discussed in order to compliance legal acts of the City council with the self-government code. Above mentioned was led by the amendments in the “Self-Government Code” on July 22, 2015, according to which the City Council is obliged to reconcile its previous legislation.
By the decision of the City Council members, the issue of taking one more deputy chairman in the staff was withdrawn from the amendments to the City Council Standing Order. Also the City Council didn’t support the transition of the Advisory (deliberative) Board from Batumi City Council into Batumi City Hall. 
From today, additional qualification requirements for public servants of the City Council’s office will approve the chairman of the City Council and additional qualification requirements for public servants of Batumi City Hall- the Mayor of Batumi.
According to the amendments, the Chairman of the City Council and the Mayor of Batumi have been granted the authority to approve the annual procurement plan on the ground of an order.
It has also been clearly defined and reflected the certain authorities of the Mayor of Batumi Municipality as a founder / partner/shareholder of Private Legal Entities established by the Municipality.
Majority of City Council’s members supported the draft resolution “About the approval of obsolete or/and unused property depreciation rules and profit and non-profit (non -commercial) legal entities-owned property inventory established by Batumi Municipality”.
The City Council transferred Batumi municipality-owned 65,50 square meters of area  being on  Gamsakhurdia Street N.6 to "Youth Organization Changes for Equal  Rights," for free of charge, 2-year term, to use.
