From today the Chairman of City Council will have two deputies

Today, at the extraordinary meeting of Batumi City Council, head of Infrastructure Development Commission- Lasha Sirabidze was elected as the City Council Deputy Chairman by 17 votes. The representatives of factions“National Movement”and “Free Democrats”did not take part in poll.  Representatives of “Republicans”Teimuraz Kurashvili and Zaur Akhvlediani abstained from voting by the name of the faction.

Four more issues were discussed at the meeting foreseen by the agenda.  By the decision of deputies non-agricultural parcel of land 1024 sq.m. situated on Inasaridze street was granted to the state property.  On this land the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia will fulfill the construction of Youth Centre.

Also deputies unanimously supported transferring 126,94 sq.m. land parcel to the Public School N 17  for the purpose of building sport hall.

At the today’s meeting was affirmed 2016 year educational plan for uprising qualification of Batumi Municipality public workers. According to the plan 150 public workers of the municipality will be trained into 9 directions. For this purpose 60 thousand GEL will be assigned from the budget.
