Today, Suliko Tebidze – the Chairman of Batumi Municipality City Council attended the 6th Assembly of “National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia” in Tbilisi. At the Assembly a new president has been elected. Kakha Kaladze will lead the “NALAG” (National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia) for the next three years.
Today, from all self-governing units of Georgia, members of the executive board of the organization have also been approved.
National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia was established in 17th of December, 2004, in the frames of the European Council and European Commission joint initiative aiming to perfect local authority system in the country, and develop democracy, decentralization of power.
