The Chairman of Batumi City Council Suliko Tebidze and the members of City Council remembered heroes of 9th of April, 1989 year. The representatives of City Council, City Hall, Government of Ajara and Supreme Council graced memorial with tulips and honored dead people with the minute of silence. The memorial of 9th April, sketch of which was chosen in the competition will be installed in the boulevard, in front of the university till August of the current year.
