The meeting of Gender Equality Council was held today at Batumi Municipality City Council. At the meeting 2018 year action plan was discussed, which is mainly focused on strengthening gender equality councils, promoting awareness and promoting efficiency.
Chairperson of the council Natalia Zoidze spoke about future plans in details. According to her, close cooperation with non-governmental, public and political organizations working on gender equality issues is essential.
“It is important to study statistical information of municipal programs in gender context, and review the submitted statements, documentation and other information on gender equality violations, to ensure timely reaction and appropriate recommendation within the competence " -said Natalia Zoidze.
