The Georgian national flags are flying at half-mast today at all government buildings across the country for Batumi hotel fire victims.
The Chairman of Ajara AR Government and the Government Members, the Deputies of Ajara Supreme Council, the Mayor of the city, the Chairman of Batumi City Council and the Members of the Council paid a tribute and laid a wreath on the place of tragedy. The flow of citizens does not stop at the hotel "Leoghand".
“We express our condolences to the families of decease. This is the deepest tragedy for all of us”, - said Suliko Tebidze, Chairman of Batumi City Council. The fire broke out on November 24, at about 20:00. 11 people were killed and 22 were injured.
By the decision of the Government of Georgia November 27 has been declared as a day of mourning in the country.
