Lasha Sirabidze hosts the British Military Attaché

The Acting Chairman of Batumi City Council Lasha Sirabidze met with David Ethel - British Military Attaché to Georgia. The meeting aimed to promote the widening of civil cooperation. Talking with David Ethel Lasha Sirabidze noted that the cooperation with British Embassy has almost been lasted during four years on discovering the graves of fallen British soldiers in World War I, for their maintaining, and setting up memorial.
David Ethel thanked Lasha Sirabidze for warm hospitality and activity the City Council has carried out to perpetuate the British soldiers’ names.
The Acting Chairman of the City Council together with the British Military Attaché will visit and pay tribute to the British soldiers’ memorial tomorrow.
Great Britain maintains the graves of 1 700 000 soldiers fallen in World War I, and II in 153 countries of the world including Georgia
