Faction “Republicans” held extended meeting

Today faction “Republicans” held extended meeting in the meeting hall of Batumi City Council.  Meeting attended members of the Society Board, representatives of City Hall’s departments, Counselor of Mayor in urban planning and architecture issues, non-governmental organizations and other interested people.
Chairman of the faction “Republicans” Teimuraz Khurashvili presented to the society project about making changes in the 50th resolution of 14th September, 2012 year which concerns regulation rules for using territories on the self-governing space of Batumi and its development.

By the said of Teimuraz Khurashvili aim of the changes is establishment of maximal meaning for new volume which is one of the parameter for city’s development regulation (ratio of plot development intensity, the same K2). In this issue, role of the municipality should be strengthened; also for some concrete functional area should be specified kinds of permissible real estate, among them such objects that needs special (zone) agreement.
Member of the faction Irakli Chavleishvili declared that “by acting regulation is not foreseen above limit of K2 ratio, due to it there are a lot of problems in the development of the constructed areas and in the environment of the whole city. Planned changes will help to settle problems existed in the city.”
Members of the meeting expressed their opinions in the process of discussions.
“Republicans” are planning to present draft resolution at the nearest meeting of Batumi City Council.
