The Chairman of Batumi Municipality’s Commission of Property Rights Recognition on the parcels of land - Levan Kintsurashvili stated that the Commission, in fact, is at the final stage: “the minutes of the meeting is already ready to be signed. The members of the Commission are acquainting with the protocol. As you know, the Commission of Property Rights Recognition on The Parcels of land consists of representatives from different departments. They represent their opinions in respect of the protocol. At 12 o’clock for Tomorrow is marked working meeting of the Commission, in which will be presented these opinions.  We will discuss each opinion. Depending on if it will be taken into consideration, of course, we take into account and make any adjustments to the existing protocol. Later one more session of the Commission will be marked, a protocol will be signed and, therefore, will come into force”.
271 families living in Gonio demand to legalize those land parcels that, at first, during 2007-2008 Khelvachauri’s Commission of Property Rights Recognition on The Parcels of Land legalized, and then-in 2010 deprived, according to its decision.
Now the Commission of Property Rights Recognition on The Parcels of Land existing in Batumi Municipality is working on the decision made in 2010 by Khelvachauri’s Commission of Property Rights Recognition on The Parcels of Land and individually reviews all cases whether families  have been legally deprived of the recognition right on the land parcels.
