Gender Advisory Council’s training at the City Council

On September 25, Batumi Gender Advisory Council, at the session hall of the City Council conducted the Gender Education Training about "gender identity, gender legislation, its enforcement mechanisms and authority of the local government". The training was conducted by the employee of GYLA’s branch of Batumi, Nino Tavlalashvili. There were discussed the subjects of domestic violence and risk groups, legal action forms on domestic violence, to whom can a victim apply in the case of  domestic violence. The project provides the local legislative and executive branches of government personnel, partnerships, gender legislation and its enforcement mechanisms basic gender challenges of providing educational training. The training is organized by the City Council and Mayor’s office advisors in the issues of gender and disabled people with the partnership of Foundation “Sokhumi” and Batumi self-government. The training was attended by the deputies of Batumi City Council, City Council and City Hall staff.
