The Deputy Chairman of Batumi City Council- Irakli Chavleishvili, the head of the Education, Science, Culture and Sports Committee of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara- Giorgi Masalkini, and the Deputy Head of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara- Lasha Chavleishvili, paid a return visit to Ukraine and Poland

Today the residents of Gonio have gathered again in front of the Batumi Municipality building. The residents are waiting for the commission’s final report about recognition of property rights on the parcels of land which were confiscated in 2010.

The chairman of Batumi City Council’s commission of property rights recognition on the parcels of land – Levan Kintsurashvili met with the population of Gonio protesting in front of the building of Batumi Municipality.

The regular session was held at Batumi Municipality City Council. The session was attended by the Mayor of Batumi - Giorgi Ermakovi.

Today, Deputy Chairman of Batumi Municipality City Council Lasha Sirabidze and members of Education, Culture, Tourism and Sport Commission of Batumi City Council met Luka Asatiani named grant-holder students.

At the beginning of the session the City Council members listened the information from the heads of Municipal Services about the situation existing in a result of abundant snowfall in the city,  as well as - regarding to the actions and measures to be taken on.

Today, the deputy Chairmen of Batumi Municipality City Council Irakli Chavleishvili and Lasha Sirabidze have met with the representatives of Rostock Municipality (Germany) Andreas Schubert and Robert Stach.

Today was held meeting of Batumi Municipality City Council. Mayor of Batumi-Giorgi Ermakov presented 2016 year budget at the meeting.

Today, at the City Council Session Hall the inventory results of cultural heritage was presented. On Ajara Cultural Heritage Protection Agency’s initiative and by the decision of the city council, Batumi City Hall purchased approximately 240 buildings inventory projects located on the territories of Batumi.

Today was held extraordinary session of Batumi City Council, were deputies discussed six issues foreseen according to the agenda.

Today, the municipal waste management standing committee held the session and discussed the Separated Waste Management Action Plan for 2016-2020.

Batumi City Council held a regular meeting. At the session review on nine-month performance report of Batumi municipality budget 2015 was presented by the Deputy Head of Batumi City Hall’s Financial-economic Service-Archil Vanadze. Head of the service has made a definition in connection with the events, funding of which was reduced in 2015 and transferred to the 2016 budget.

Today, at the stated session of Batumi Municipality City Council deputies elected Vazha Ramishvili as the chairman of Infrastructural Development Commission in the terms of City Council authority. 17 members of the City Council supported candidacy of Vazha Ramishvili.

Two issues were discussed at the session of the Commission of Education, Culture, Tourism and sports today foreseen by the agenda: nine-month review of Batumi municipality budget 2015 and “on approving the Batumi Municipality budget 2015” on making amendments in the City Council’s resolution #46 of 29 December 2014.

Today, Deputy Chairman of Batumi City Council-Irakli Chavleishvili has hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary-Mr. Sandor Szabo. Discussion was focused on future economic cooperation between the two countries.

Today, in the session hall of Batumi City Council for the purpose of discussing on the Batumi Municipality draft budget 2016 was carried out extended session of the Committee of Finance and Economic Development.

On 18th and 19th of November, Commission of Education, Culture, Tourism and Sport Issues of Batumi City Council discussed sub-projects foreseen by the 2016 budget of Batumi Municipality in corresponding spheres.
