Today, the Chairman of City Council Suliko Tebidze attended informative meeting about funded pension. Pension reform is activated in Georgia, from 2019 year first January, as it was said at the meeting, special pension fund will manage saved amount of citizens, as it was said at the meeting, saved amount will be returned back after going on pension.

On the festive ceremony in the Europe Parliament, in Brussels, Batumi was awarded European Sport City Status. 

Today, the members of City Council attended event organized by Education Development Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. Campaign of increase of awareness-“all children in the school”- is carried out with the collaboration of CSDC in each region. Aim of the campaign is increase of knowledge of those children who are left out of school and their reactions towards this issue.

Gender Equality Council of Batumi Municipality City Council joined in the frames of the campaign about international day against women violence, attended informative meeting which is lasted for 16 days.

Today was carried out Education, Culture, Tourism and Sport Issues Commission, where were discussed three issues for eseen by the agenda.

Campaign against gender disc rimination iscarried out in Batumi Municipality City Council which was organized by Ombudsman Staff and PLLE Maritime Agency.

Gender Equality Council of Batumi Municipality City Council joined campaign about international day agains two menviolence, which started today and will be lasted for 16 days. Aim of this campaign is increase of awareness and expression of solidarity towards the victims of violence.

Today, the Chairman of City Council Suliko Tebidze attended event of presentation of 40 million GEL investment projectin Kobuleti, project for eseesconstruction of new hotel which will help to employ local sand to develop tourism in Kobuleti. The new investment project will be fulfiiled by LTD “L&R Company”. It is Czech-Slovak Investment Company, which is functioning in Georgia from 2014 year.

2019 year budget was discussed on the Financial and Economic Development Commission. According to the projects next year budget was defined by 154, 361, 6 GEL, main directions are development of municipal infrastructure, ecological state and recreation infrastructure, education and culture.

At the Health and Social Issues Commission of Batumi Municipality were presented programs and sub-programs of 2019 year budget. According to the project, sphere of healthcare will be financed with 16, 056, 5GEL.

2019 year budget project is still discussed in the commissions of Batumi City Council, the presented project was discussed by Education, Culture, Tourism and Sport Issues Commission of City Council.

Today, the Chairman of City Council SulikoTebidze, together with theChairman of Ajara Government TornikeRizhvadze and the mayor of city LashaKomakhidze get informed with the infrastructural works carried out onGiorgi BrtskinvaleStreet.

Today, 2019 year budget in the commissions of City Council was presented, according to the project for the development of infrastructure will be spent totally 64,861,100 GEL.

The member of Batumi City Council IrakliMikeladze, together with the businessman MerabPhartenadze connected with the World Children’s Day visited children of public school 26where is functioning inclusive teaching center from 2016 year, today children with the guests of center prepared several souvenirs.

The Chairman of Batumi City Council SulikoTebidze and members of City Council attended the sustainable development international forum, members of forum discussed challenges being in Ajara, ways of its solution and best practice, the Chairman of Ajara Government TornikeRizhvadze noted that sustainable development is basic priority.
