Today the Chairman of Batumi City Council- Irakli Tcheishvili together with the City Council members and representatives of Batumi City Hall and Supreme Council paid a homage to the memory of heroes and laid a wreath on their memorial. They recalled the historical facts and talked about 1990 year’s excavation and discovered graves. In 1921, 84 militants died in the fight for freedom. 50 heroes are buried in Freedom Square.
