“Batumi 2025- the main directions of the city development”

Today, the deputy Chairmen of Batumi Municipality City Council Irakli Chavleishvili and Lasha Sirabidze have met with the representatives of Rostock Municipality (Germany) Andreas Schubert and Robert Stach. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the Batumi City Hall and the non-governmental organizations.
The special emphasis was placed on the main directions of the city development. At this stage, the joint work is in progress on the document “Batumi 2025”, which is being carried out according to the similar document developed by the City of Rostock.
The document “Batumi 2025” is the Batumi Urban Development Strategic Plan, under which the representatives of the relevant sectors of the both cities actively cooperate.
As it is known, the partnership Memorandum was signed between Batumi and Rostock, which provides the exchange of experience in the fields of: transportation, planting of greenery, waste management, climate control, education, culture and economy.
The partnership projects between the two cities are financed by the International Community of German Economic Cooperation –“GIZ”.
