26 years have passed after the fall of Sokhumi. Today, the Chairman of Batumi City Council and members of the Government of Ajara, together with the Chairman of Supreme Council, Mayor of the city and representatives of society gathered in the Hero Square and once more remembered one of the most tragic day of history.
By the data of 1992-1993 years, more than 10 000 of soldiers died and peaceful citizens were left without home.
